Extreme low height

Tugs of the Mototok Alligator series are the most compact electric, towbarless aircraft tugs worldwide. The unique and patented clamp technology of the Mototok Alligator series lifts the nose wheel of the helicopter safely, smoothly and at an incredibly low height, with the lifting platform being only 200 mm high. The overall height of the alligator is so low that even extensive attachments below the aircraft fuselage do not obstruct the nose gear clamping.

  • Full electric drive
  • Radio remotely controlled
  • Fully automatic nose gear engaging function: loads and unloads the nosewheel automatically with one tap on the remote
  • Only 1 person required for operation
  • Applicable for single or double nose wheel
  • Hydraulic adjustment of the mouth opening depth for wheels with small diameter
  • High powered electric motors
  • No driving license required
  • Minimal operating costs
  • Park your aircraft using the last corner of your hangar and save space
  • Quickest Return on Investment

Optional Equipment

  • Ground power cable for gound power connection
  • Automatic controls by ground markings (AGV functionality)
  • Adaptations for special demands
  • Spiral cable connection (15 m) between Mototok and control unit instead of radio remote control
  • Saltwater resistance

New Nose gear clamping mechanism

Mototok Alligator series tugs are extremely flat and specifically designed to easily dock under helicopters with low ground clearance, regardless of attachments below the fuselage such as FLIR, radar, antennas, or cameras. With the Mototok Alligator you get a machine that has a completely newly developed mechanism to lift the nose wheel of a helicopter or aircraft. This mechanism allows a safe and smooth clamping of the nose wheel at an incredibly low height: The lifting platform of the Mototok Alligator is only 200 mm high. Thus, the alligator fits under virtually any aircraft regardless of which equipment such as FLIR, radar, antennas or similar is installed.

Very low construction height

Only 200mm height in the platform area.

Thanks to its extremely low height in the area of the nose wheel platform, collisions with attached equipment are virtually impossible.
In this example, the FLIR hangs relatively low under the helicopter. However, the low design of the platform makes it possible to dock the Mototok to the nose wheel without having to fear a collision with the FLIR.
The lifting height of the platform is sufficient to ensure that the FLIR does not collide with the housing of the Mototok even when manoeuvring - i.e. even if the Mototok turns away under the fuselage. Free manoeuvring is possible.

Automated loading process – Sensor monitored

The Mototok Alligator is operated exactly as you may know it from our other models SPACER, TWIN, and M: With the help of the radio remote control you move the tug up to the nose wheel of the aircraft. The automatic loading process is started by simply pressing a button on the remote control.
Depending on the size of the nose wheel, the 28 individually movable nose wheel clamps are gently pressed against the nose wheel to hold it securely.

With the Alligator series, Mototok offers tugs for wheeled helicopters with single or double nose wheel up to 50 tonnes or 110,231 lbs. Alligator series tugs are the most compact electric and towbarless tugs worldwide, specifically designed to dock easily under helicopters with low ground clearance due to attachments mounted below the fuselage, such as radar, antennas, cameras, headlights, or FLIR systems.

Mototok Alligator-Series tugs for helicopters are the ideal choice for police aviation and air medical services. With some modifications for special demands, Alligator tugs are also ideally suited for offshore operations.

Fully-electric, towbarless and remote-controlled Mototok Alligator-Series tugs for helicopters have several advantages compared to other tugs for helicopters. Here are the central benefits:

- Extremely flat design: Mototok Alligator series tugs are the most compact electric and towbarless tugs worldwide, which enables them to dock easily under helicopters with low ground clearance due to attachments below the fuselage.
- Easy of use: Towbarless Mototok tugs with remote control are easy to maneuver and require no special license or extensive training.
- Increased time efficiency: With only one click on the remote control, Mototok Alligator tugs connect automatically to the helicopter’s nose wheel – loading or unloading the nose gear only takes 10 to 15 seconds.
- One person operation: Thanks to the remote control-feature enabling unobstructed view, Mototok Alligator tugs can be operated by a single person.
- Low maintenance: Mototok Alligator tugs are maintenance-free in daily operation, resulting in minimum maintenance costs.
- Sustainability: Fully-electric Mototok Alligator tugs are the sustainable alternative to conventional Diesel tugs, contributing to airports’ sustainability goals.

Mototok Alligator-Series tugs connect to the helicopter or aircraft with a unique and patented clamping mechanism. This clamp technology combined with the flat design of Alligator tugs, the lifting platform being only 200 mm high, enables them to lift the nose wheel conveniently, securely, and at an extremely low height – making Alligator tugs the perfect choice for helicopters with low ground clearance. The nose wheel is lifted in an automatic hydraulic and sensor-monitored process, with only the click on a button of the remote control.

Optional equipment that allows you to modify the Mototok Alligator-Series helicopter tug for special demands include the following:

- Ground power cable for ground power connection
- Spiral cable connection between the Alligator tug and the control unit instead of the remote control feature
- AGV functionality, i.e. automatic controls by ground markings
- Saltwater resistance for offshore operations and use on aircraft carriers during military aviation operations.
